AnaBright textile inks are specially developed for optimal ink flow with AnaJet apparel printers. AnaBright inks are water-based pigmented inks, designed for color vibrancy and wash-ability. All AnaJet inks, cleaning solutions and pretreatment are formulated with great consideration for their health effects and impact on the environment. Liquids used in AnaJet systems are among the most eco friendly in the industry. AnaBright inks' high optical density assures the most vibrant colors in the industry. It also has excellent resistance to washing and sunlight.
AnaJet printers use a CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black, respectively) four color ink system for white and light colored garment printing. To print on dark colored garments, white ink is used for undercoating as well as highlights. The CMYK process color system provides 16 million colors under software control, which provides the ability to print the most intricate design details.
How Much Ink is Used per Print?
Since ink consumption rate is a concern of many, we did a full scale study of ink usage rate in March, 2008. But one should not be overly concerned about the ink cost, as the gross margin is so large in direct-to-garment decoration business. Better ink flow of AnaJet system also helps reduce ink wasted for system maintenance, and help reduce total ink cost. Here is a quick summary of AnaJet ink cost study.
Representative Image Size: 10" x 8.5"
White Shirt: ~ $0.40 ($0.60 at heavy ink setting)
Black Shirt: ~ $1.50 ($2.25 at heavy ink setting)

Formaldehyde in Pretreatment Liquids
The health effects of formaldehyde in AnaBright Pretreatment Liquid (ABA-PRE1) on the garment wearer is an item of concern to AnaJet. Recently we revisited this issue and released the following Technical Bulletin on this subject. AnaJet customers will be happy to see the results in the following summary of our findings. For details, please download the pdf file.
Summary : The amount of residual formaldehyde on a dark garment printed with an AnaJet system is significantly below the acceptable limits established by domestic and foreign government agencies. In short, the residual formaldehyde level is about 14.7PPM while the most stringent governmental standard allows 70PPM (or 20PPM for babies).
